Its beginning to Look alot like Christmas!

Well the 1st of December is here, to Tree is up, the red and green deco's are every where, candy canes are out on the table and I opened my first advent swap gift, a lovely fabric covered notebook.
BUT GUESS WHAT!

The panic has also arrived, I haven't finished shopping, the chrissy cards aren't done & I haven't ordered the Turkey/Hams.

Okay, calming down, a glass of wine and some wonderfully organised list, makes it look like I'm organised.
I'll cook, sew & make the most of the time left, even if theres not much of it.

Bring on the 25th of December and all the choas that goes with it.

On the first day of christmas, my true love gave to me.

A mild case of an - xie - ty.

On the second day of christmas my true love gave to me.

A case of clean skin wine.

On the third day of christmas my true love gave to me.

A shoot of Val-i-um

You get to idea, no PANIC, here.

Mug Bag Swap

After getting off to a slow start I finally got Kimba's mug bag done. Kimba also sent me the wounderful blue bag filled with goodies.

Proud Mum

My son Aaron made this bag as a Thank You/Swap item with Barb from the craft group as she was kind enough to send him some fabric for a yo-yo quilt he is making. I am very proud not just of his skill but of his thoughtfullness.

Cottons all over the place

I was complaining to my husband that I had nowhere to store my DMC threads. So when he came back from town he had brought me a soft plastics fishing lure case. It works perfectly, they are all sorted into colour groups with a big pocket on the back to hold projects.

All we have to do at times is think outside the square, and goods thing happen.

Snow in November

Today we woke up to white stuff everywhere. It's been a good excuse to stay inside and sew.

Baskets, Baskets, and more Baskets

Hi, my name is Allison, and I'm a fabric basket addict.
I have just gotten back from my FBA (fabric baskets Annon) meeting, but I don't think it's working.

These are my blocks that I have received for the 2008 Stitchery Swap. The colours are blue & red, this is going to be a very bright quilt. I only have 4 or 5 blocks to go, then no more squaredance block, Yeah!.

A flower for Vicki

This is for Vicki, it's not a daffidil but a sunflower my 6 old son grow last year. It was 40cm across. I hope this cheers you up.

Vicki is the backbone ofthe craft group, organising swap, finding lost members, and getting rid of all that nasty spam. She is like a favorite Aunty, a old friend from school, or a foster mum.

Not craft but Bella Baby

This is the new addition to our house.

"BELLA"

Sampler Swap

Here is my first square for the sampler swap. I am getting better. It has been a great learning curve doing these type of swaps, and the girls are all so encourging.

Nan's 80th Birthday Memory Quilt

I made this memory quilt for my Nan's 80th birthday, Nan has dementia, so I thought the photo's would be good for her.

There is photo's on it of my Grandfather "Dusty" with my kids, which makes this quilt extra special as he passed away a week after I gave it to her, but he saw it at loved it. It was the only present that she got that she remembered who gave it to her.

A thank you to Allie from Hazel's at Millthorpe for doing a great quilting job on it and in only a week.

Robots

The boys & I found these on a blog site, so one day last holidays we sat down and made them. The good thing is that the Boys 6 & 9 could do them by themselves, press studs for eyes, and made out of felt, to played with them for days and now they sit proudly on their "special shelf".

sally's bag

Sally is the first friend I made when we moved here, she is very outgoing and always great to see her and her 3 boys. I made this bag out of a pattern jorja sent me from the craft forum. It is a pattern by Kate Sykes & Suzie McDonald of Renmark craft Corner.

Woodfired Pizza Oven

My husband made this Pizza Oven in our backyard. They would have to be the best pizzas we've had.

I sent this bag to Linda. I designed it myself (the cups & pots were to match another fabric, which did not look right for it).

It was my first try at hand quilting, which although I am not very good, I enjoyed doing it and now my Husband is making me one.

I hope you liked it Linda.

Here is what Trish J sent me for the swap, it matches my kitchen lovely.

This is a quilt I made for Mum for her Carvan using only my stash, and Annie Downs "Family Gathering" pattern. Instead of applicate the pictures I did them as stitcheries. It's a bit colourful, but it matches Mum and she loves it.

Here's a wall hanging.

The pattern comes from a magazine.

(I can't remember what one)

Here's a wall hanging I made of our Home.

I copied the House Plans from 1925 onto some

Calico and use royal blue thread on the Stitchery.

Here's my other son's "Hot Wheels" Quilt. The off centre layout and the odd square is because of the wonderful help I received from him and he helped the the cutting and layout. At 8 he was very keen to help and it was his quilt, which he loves.

Here's a Lap Quilt I made for my son. It's a "Lunar Jim" Quilt.
