Jane Stickle...... my hero!!

I had my Dear Jane moment, this morning! I was making block J6, when I sat and thought for a moment!

Jane Stickle had no rotary cutter, no printed instructions, no sewing machine!

This block is 4.5" in her quilt, it is hand sewn and has 25 pieces in it!

Wow, what talent and Patience she must of had!

JANE STICKLE YOU ARE MY HERO!

A Dr Seuss Christmas!

For my three (3) nieces Christmas present I have made them Dr Seuss Library Bag. The front panel is a stitchery I drawn up for the boys Dr Seuss books, then brought some great Dr Seuss fabric for the back & handles, teamed up with some other bright fabric, I am rather happy with the result!

What do you think?

Shh! They won't be receiving them until next week!

Dear Jane ~ The journey has begun!

Today I completed the first four (4) blocks of the 169 square blocks! I am starting with the easy one and have a folder to put them all in!

Now all I need to do is 3 or 4 blocks every week to reach my goal of completion at the end of the year!

My Dear Jane Adventure Begins

Hello my friends!

Sorry for the long gap between post, but life gets in the way, my blog give away went to Beccy in the UK, I sent her a fat 1/4, and some buttons & ribbons. Thank you for your wonderful photo, true inspirations!

Well for my birthday I got the Dear Jane Quilt, book, CD ROM & badge, so now the journey can begin!

Tomorrow I am heading off to marally craft to get some fabric at there 30% off sale, and whilst my VIP card is still in date. I am thinking pinks, apricots, browns & creams, for my quilt.

I turn 40 in November, and would like to have it finished by then. Wish me luck and check in to see where I am up to with it, I am hoping to publish my progress every week!

I hope Christmas was wonderful & you all have a great New Year.

Latest Project! Chalkboard Clip boards.

These are my lastest adictive projects, I found them on Little Birdie Secrets, they were using scrapping cards, where as I used fabric! One is for my Dad to use for his puzzles, one for my neice (the Pink One) and the other two are for my boys for travelling. The little bags have chalk, pens & a duster in them. All the kids are going to get them for Christmas this year!

Craft Forum ~ Designer Swap ~ Part 2

This is the table runner I made for Kim in the Designer Swap on http://forum.craftmagazines.com.au/. The Stitchery is from "Miss Milly Flower Patch" book by Bronwyn Hayes. I fell in love with the Fabric and made some matching coasters.

It was hard to part with.
(sorry its in 2 parts but I couldn't get a photo with the stitcheries in it any other way)

Craft Forum ~ Designer Swap.

On the wonderful craft forum we had a "Designer Swap", the patterns had to come from either Leanne Beasley & Bronwyn Hayes. Both are talented designers, and are worth having a look at. I chose Bronwyn Hayes as I had a book I patterns I got when I was in Adelaide this time last year, that I was keen to use. I can't show you a picture of what I made just yet as Kim, is waiting for it to arrive in the post, but I am very proud of it.

Missnance (Gail) from http://missnance.blogspot.com/ made me this beautiful bag it has stitcheries on it and is full of pockets. The colours are great for these cold and dreary days! I cannot thank her enough for it, I LOVE IT!!!!
